Job Summary

Human Resources Specialist I need to have an understanding of the process, practices, and methods use within Professional Cleaning & Maintenance Services. HRS must be able to maintain private and crucial information. Human Resources Specialist must be able to work eight hours a day and are tasked to process paperwork and from time to time go to meetings. Therefore, the HRS should be committed to their job and must comply with all working measures asked by PCMS. HRS should also be able to exercise great initiative, have good problem solving skills and must carry independent and responsible judgments.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manages talent acquisition process, including sourcing, testing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding ( Including E-verify, must be completed by the 3rd day of hire) (LA New Hire Registry-complete on date of hire)
  • Visiting job fairs to find the right candidate (laworks.net, list of upcoming job fairs)
  • Authorizing pre-employment tests (Lourdes Urgent Care Drug Test/TB Test)
  • Assisting with completing background investigations (Submit online at Global Data Fusion)
  • Processing terminations (Completing SR77 forms within 72 hours)
  • Exit Interviews and Resignation Forms (If an employee resigns, conduct an exit interview before last day. If an employee resigns immediately, conduct then). Always make sure you have a resignation form when someone is resigning.
  • Ensures all employment practices comply with federal, state and local regulations
  • Consulting with the appropriate department manager or director regarding any issues or concerns.
  • Recruiting ( Make sure all job boards are updated weekly with our current job openings, seek other job boards to post job openings)

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Labor Relations or Business
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), including MITC and Quickbooks
